The 2025/26 Premier League Programme Awards – The Winners
After reviewing every Premier League matchday programme across the 2025/26 season, we can now reveal the winners of our annual Programme Awards.
Since the awards began in 2017/18, 180 individual programmes have been assessed, with each publication judged across four key areas: design and layout, original editorial content, opposition coverage, and information covering the wider club.
This season has produced one of the strongest fields we have assessed in recent years. Several clubs produced issues worthy of recognition, with the margins at the top proving especially narrow. However, three programmes ultimately stood above the rest.
Gold Award – West Ham United
For a fourth time in the history of our awards, West Ham United claim the Gold Award for the Premier League’s best matchday programme.
At 132 pages, the Hammers’ publication is the largest standard issue produced by a top-flight club. Yet its success is about much more than scale. The programme delivers exceptional quality across every area of our judging criteria.
Original content is a particular strength. Features such as The Boys of ’86 and 20 Years On offer substantial, well-researched historical writing, while the inclusion of detailed statistical analysis from Analytics United brings a fresh modern dimension.
The programme is equally impressive in its coverage of the wider club. Extensive sections dedicated to the women’s team, academy, and community initiatives provide supporters with a complete picture of life across West Ham United.
The design work matches the quality of the content, with a strong visual identity running throughout the issue. Consistent use of the club’s colours and recurring motifs allows individual features to establish their own personality while maintaining a cohesive overall feel.
A programme of remarkable depth and ambition, West Ham’s publication sets the standard for the modern matchday programme.
Silver Award – Newcastle United
Newcastle United take the Silver Award, continuing an exceptional period for the club’s programme team.
Having now appeared in our awards in each of the last four seasons, the Magpies have established one of the most consistently impressive publications in English football.
The programme’s greatest strength is the sheer breadth of original content. An extensive central feature section offers a wealth of historical articles, supporter stories, archive photography, and reflections on the club’s rich heritage.
The visitors’ section is among the strongest in the league, while comprehensive coverage of the academy, women’s team, and Newcastle United Foundation ensures every part of the club receives attention.
Combined with a cover price of just £3.50 – among the lowest in the Premier League – Newcastle’s programme remains one of the best-value publications available to supporters.
Bronze Award – Fulham
Fulham claim the Bronze Award, with another outstanding programme that demonstrates why the club has been a regular presence among our award winners.
The defining quality of the Fulham issue is the remarkable variety of original content. Few clubs can match the breadth of features on offer, with historical articles, supporter memories, former player interviews, and cultural reflections combining to create one of the most engaging reads in the league.
The visitors’ section is also among the most detailed in the division, blending analysis of the current team with a genuine appreciation of the opposition’s history and identity.
Alongside strong club coverage and a clean, understated design, Fulham once again demonstrates that the written word remains at the heart of the very best football programmes.
Another Strong Year for the Premier League Programme
Although West Ham, Newcastle, and Fulham take this season’s honours, the quality of the field was exceptionally high.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Sunderland, and Wolves all produced programmes that challenged the leading group, each demonstrating particular strengths in areas such as design, original content, opposition coverage, and club information.
In the coming days, we will look more closely at the numbers behind the rankings, examining which clubs scored highest in each category and what makes a truly outstanding matchday programme in the modern era.
