The matchday programme of Newcastle United Football Club is today named as the winner of our Programme of the Season Award.
This is the first time Newcastle have claimed the award, following their 3rd and 2nd place finishes in the last two seasons.
Second place in the 2024/25 awards is taken by the programme produced by West Ham United, who have also won the Gold Award on three occasions, while Aston Villa’s issue is recognised for the first time, taking our Bronze Award.
Newcastle’s programme has been consistently impressive in recent times, and is fully deserving of claiming our top award for 2024/25. Each issue of ‘United’ delivers across our four areas of marking – Design, Original Content, Opposition Coverage, and Club Information. In particular, the quality of writing, and breadth of original content in ‘United’ stands out, with each issue offering plenty of highly readable, informative, and entertaining features.
Our congratulations go to Programme Editor, Rory Mitchinson, and the whole team behind the programme. Our review of the Newcastle programme can be read in full here.
West Ham United’s programme (review here) once again impressed, being recognised for the fourth time in our annual awards, following three first place finishes previously, while Aston Villa’s issue (review here) achieves a top-three finish in the awards for the first time, delivering a classy series of issues marking the club’s 150th anniversary year.
The Programme of the Season Award is in its eighth year. In addition to West Ham’s three wins, the other previous winners are Burnley, Fulham, Norwich City, and Leicester City. A full list of award winners is shown below.
